Getting greener and hotter 13th June

All tarmac today and I feel like taking it really steady and not racing ahead and just enjoy the scenery. Starting to get a little more greener which usually means they get plenty of rain but that is not until July apparently
Everything is getting more colourful including bridges which are adorned with prayer flags

The route is also full of people on Pilgrimage and they are pushing the stones along the road like the girl I showed you at the Jakhong.
Here is three monks pushing the stones and they were 52 miles outside of Lhasa although we did see some with 207 miles to go. WOW, that is commitment

Only one mountain pass to go through today at over 5000m and thankfully it was a lovely day and the temperature only dropped to 12 Deg C on top and you should be able to determine from the big map I parked under exactly where I am in China

The route follows a river valley all the way and it is stunning and we start to go through a few more towns with their big entrance gates. Wish I knew what they said

It is very easy to lose concentration as there are hidden dangers lurking around every corner, through every village and after every brow of a hill. Even blocks of wood around a corner is not uncommon

The town we finally arrive in is of a reasonable size and the hotel looks very comfortable. All I can say is it is lucky that we have Little John (our guide) with us to translate for us otherwise who knows what we would be eating.
Heavy clouds are appearing and it looks like we might get some rain tonight?
